500th MEETING OF THE SAN JOSE COIN CLUB
SEPTEMBER 14, 1988
On September
14th, 1988, the San Jose Coin Club held its 500th meeting. Special Commemorative medals were struck in
Oxidized Copper to celebrate the event. In order to receive one of the
medals, a member had to not only attend the meeting, but be on time! No
examples were distributed to non-members.
200 medals were struck by
Masterpiece Medallions in Brilliant Copper. The medals were distributed one
per member in attendance (78) plus one for the club collection. The dies were
defaced and the remaining 121 pieces were destroyed.
